DNKLE turns emotion into energy with Pharlight – Native Instruments Blog

For emerging producers, what’s the key to using a tool like Pharlight without overusing it?

Treat it like a spice, not the whole dish.

Pharlight can be so captivating that it’s tempting to layer it everywhere, but that can wash out the mix. Start with one or two key moments where it really shines, and let the contrast with the rest of the track make those moments feel special. What I have been told by my mentors in BLOT!, is to use it to have fun with it – that really seems to be the secret ingredient.

The performance controls make experimentation playful. You can trigger textures in real time, which keeps the process light and creative instead of formulaic.
And the Randomize button, used sparingly, introduces happy accidents and new textures that feel fresh without tipping into overuse.
